Well it is a chilly sunny Sunday afternoon here in beautiful Western Michigan and mom and I decided it was time to check out another park. This one too isn't far from our house. Here is a pic of part of it:
There are quite a few lakes in the area and in this park you get to walk around the whole lake! There are paved paths and places to sit and places to smell...it's wonderful:
Check out this walkway below, it actually divides the lake!:On this walkway I passed three dogs! Mom was a little nervous because there wasn't much wiggle room and I got a little snarly, but mom was impressed that I didn't totally go ballistic, apparently I'm becoming more confident in myself! Yeah me! Here is a pic of me on the walkway, I wouldn't look at the camera for mom (hee hee):
You also had to be on the lookout for squirrels as there are tons of trees! There were also ducks. right after mom took the picture below one flew up behind us out of the little creek! If I was able to jump super high I could have caught it!
As you can see, it was an awesome afternoon. Filled with great sights and smells.
So what did you do on your Sunday afternoon? Woof! Kirby
My people went to Target this morning without me! I'm lobbying for a walk later!

We went to our favorite park this afternoon, and it is finally snow free! There were plenty of other doggy pals running around- perhaps a little too chaotic for Kirby, but a blast for my crazy canines!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing walk! Thanks so much for your nice words in support of the raffle! Rescue dogs (like both of us) rock!
ReplyDeleteYour pal,Pip
What an awesome park. I love the path that divides the lake, very cool. Sounds like you had a great time and did well with those other dogs. It's all a learning process. Thanks for sharing your awesome adventure.
ReplyDeleteWow that was a very nice park...It seems that the air there is so fresh...That was a very nice place to relax...^_^

What a beautiful park! There are no lakes in San Antonio, so we are very jealous of your beautiful scenery. Would you mind listing the name of the park (website?). We'll be in Michigan during our travels and are always looking for great places to visit!
ReplyDeleteThat's truly a beautiful place for a walk! What a lovely park for stretching your legs and I love walkies. I wish I lived nearby and met you there. Sigh!!! I'm at the other end of the world :(
